Harbor Ridge Golf Course Community is the result of a long-term vision and years of research by Harborcreek resident, John Schaefer. John is a highly respected builder and developer with more than 30 years of experience.

Before embarking on this project, John visited a number of golf communities throughout the Southern United States. He researched every detail and amenity, from the size of the lots, to the ratio of green space to golf course, to the square footage of living space for each type of home in the community. He believed there was a market in Northwestern Pennsylvania for people who enjoyed an independent living environment within the confines of an amenity-laden resort-like setting.

Working closely with John on the Harbor Ridge project is his wife Sherri Heasley. As the owner of Pro Realty, Inc., Erie's largest independent, locally owned real estate company, Sherri and her team of professionals will be actively involved with the management of the community, assisting residents with the sale of their property, helping with moving arrangements, managing rental properties, as well as resident and guest services.

John Schaefer's development company, Woodberry Development, Inc. is the developer of Harbor Ridge and John W. Schaefer Builders, Inc. is the exclusive builder of all town homes and patio homes in the community.
